The West Oxford Inferno Girls Hockey Association held its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and it was an evening marked by strong attendance, meaningful discussion, and positive momentum for the season ahead.
We were pleased to see such a well-attended AGM, reflecting the continued engagement and commitment of our membership to the continued growth and success of the Inferno. A full slate of executive and board positions was filled, including reaching the maximum allotted number of Directors at Large. This level of participation speaks volumes about the strength of our association and the passion our volunteers bring to supporting girls’ hockey in West Oxford.
The meeting itself was highly productive. Members reviewed, discussed, and formally adopted a number of changes and additions to the association bylaws. These updates are designed to strengthen governance, improve clarity, and ensure our policies continue to serve the best interests of players, families, and volunteers.
The Board also reviewed the association’s financial statements, which were presented as healthy and stable. This strong financial position allows the Inferno to plan confidently for the upcoming season while continuing to invest in player development, team operations, and overall program quality.
With bylaws confirmed and finances reviewed, the focus now turns toward planning for the next hockey season. Early preparation will help ensure another successful year of development, competition, and community building within the Inferno organization.
We are excited to officially introduce the 2026-2027 West Oxford Inferno Board of Directors:
Executive and Appointed Positions
Directors at Large
The Inferno would like to extend a sincere thank you to all members who attended the AGM, participated in discussions, and stepped forward to contribute their time and expertise. Volunteer leadership is the backbone of our association, and we are incredibly grateful for the dedication shown by this year’s board.
With a full leadership team in place and a strong foundation established, the West Oxford Inferno is well positioned as we head into planning for the next hockey season. We look forward to building on this momentum and continuing to provide a positive, competitive, and supportive environment for our athletes.
