Submitted By Duke Rupert on Friday, November 20, 2020
COVID Update: Nov 20, 2020

Effective Monday, November 23 at 12:01 am, the Southwestern Public Health region will move from the “Yellow-Protect” tier into the “Orange-Restrict” tier of the Provincial Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework. This decision was made to further protect our community before the COVID-19 situation becomes unmanageable. At this stage, it is critical that each individual improves their efforts to help our whole community stay safe. It is up to each of us to get us back to Green. For more information: https://www.ontario.ca/page/covid-19-response-framework-keeping-ontario-safe-and-open#orange

What does this mean for us?

  • Maintain 2 metre physical distancing, unless engaged in a sport
  • No spectators permitted (exemption for parent and guardian supervision of children)
  • Team sports must not be practiced or played except for training (no games or scrimmage)
  • Team or individual sports must be modified to avoid physical contact; 50 people per league
  • Face coverings required except when exercising
  • Require contact information for all members of the public that enter the facility
  • Require reservation for entry; one reservation for teams
  • Require screening of members of the public, including spectators (for example, questionnaire)
  • safety plan is required to be prepared and made available upon request
