Online Banquet - Day Eleven
Submitted By Kerry Garton on Thursday, May 7, 2020
Closing Remarks...

Here we are at day 11, the official closing of our 2019/20 season. Although our season didn’t end as we envisioned, it’s so great that we were able to recognize our teams and all of their accomplishments. Thank you to all of the Inferno players, volunteers, coaching staff, team representatives, executive members, parents, friends and family for your continued support. It takes a lot of dedication and commitment to operate a successful association and without you it wouldn’t be possible. Special thanks to Katrina deWit and Kerry Garton for organizing this online event. We hope you enjoyed following along. We have so much to be proud of.

On May 5, OWHA held a conference call to update associations across the province regarding next season. Details are still limited as OWHA, Hockey Canada and the provincial government develop plans to ensure hockey remains safe for everyone. At this time there is no return-to-hockey date and no associations are permitted to host tryouts, create team rosters or collect registration. Please stay tuned to our website and social media accounts for updates as they are received.

We will forever remember the end of this season, but let us not forget how we trained together, won and lost together, and how we celebrated together. We wish you health and happiness and look forward to seeing you all at the rink again soon.
