Online Banquet - Day Five

PeeWee B

I had a privilege of coaching the West Oxford – PeeWee B team this
season and they were a great group of girls to coach and I am very
proud of all of them.  What a season it was, I would like to start by
thanking everyone for their commitment to this team, it takes more
than just players and coaches to make a team work. Also, a big thanks
to our sponsor Sierra Construction Group.

Parents, Thank you, you have some awesome daughters who you should
all be super proud of!! Thank you for always having the girls at the rink
and ready to go and for making this season a fun one.  Your help was
greatly appreciated, from helping out in the time box to tying some skates
to running a very successful Pink Game in support of Breast Cancer, Thank you.

To my awesome coaching staff, Assistant Coach: Pete Paterson, Trainer:
Sherri Simmers, Manager/Singing Coach: Katrina deWit and Bench/On
Ice Helper: Shelly Howe, there was never a dull moment in the dressing
room or on the bench with these girls, Thank you. Also special thanks to
Kennedy Costa and Rachel Verhoeven for your on ice help, the girls loved when
you guys came out.

To the girls, thank you for a great season of hockey, I have had a lot of fun
with you guys and the friendships that have been made this year, I hope
they continue for many years to come.  I wish you all good luck next season
whether you are moving up to Bantam or staying in the PeeWee division.
You will all be great assets to whatever team you play on!!  This season had
its ups and downs but we buckled down and worked hard, you should all be
proud of yourselves.

#1 Tegan Purcell, #2 Victoria Scott, #3 Abby Howe, #6 Alyssa Power,
#7 Olivia Paterson, #8 Hailey Kilgour, #9 Kelly Verhoeven, #10 Paige Tanti,
#11 Charlotte deWit, #12 Jaylin Fuller, #15 Hailey Garton, #17 Addison Allair
and last but not least #18 Phoebe Sparks

Some highlights from this season: We were the Ancaster Fall Shootout
Champs!!, the girls
fought hard during regular season but we had some
bumps in the road with an injured goalie out for
a month and a half. I
would like to thank Jolene Allair from the PeeWee C team for stepping in
for us for a couple of games, I would also like to thank Jaylin Fuller and
Olivia Paterson for going between the pipes for us. I would also like to
Thank Laine and Curtis Gartly for coming out to my practices during this
time to work with whoever was going to be in net for us. We manage to
make it to LLFHL playoffs having to face the number one team Mitchell,
we gave them a run for their money. We tied our first game with them
1-1 then lost 0-3 in the second game but game three was a show stopper.
The girls knew they had to win the game in regulation in order to force a
ten minute sudden death overtime.  The girls put their minds to it and that
is exactly what they did. Unfortunately, we were plagued with penalties
most of the overtime and with 1:32 left in overtime Mitchell scored.

Thank you everyone for a wonderful season of hockey.

Most Improved Player – this award goes to the girl who always tried,
never gave up and
had a smile on her face while doing it. She was always
trying to improve her game.  She was always the girl in the dressing room
to lighten the mood or on the ice to say something to make you laugh.
Congratulations goes to
Phoebe Sparks

Most Sportsmanlike Player - this award goes to the girl who always
knew when the girls needed a “LET”S GO INFERNO’S” yelled from the
bench during a game or could go out on the ice and do exactly what
the coaches asked of her.  She always had a smile on her face and
working hard during practice or games.
Congratulations goes to Paige Tanti

Most Dedicated Player -   this award goes to the girl who is talented,
quiet and humble. She was positive, a team player and always working
to improve her skills, and no one I mean NO ONE messes with her goalie!!
Congratulations goes to Addison Allair
