Bantam B finish with a Silver
Submitted By Kerry Garton on Wednesday, September 26, 2018
This past weekend saw the Inferno Bantam B team participate in the St. Thomas Big Cat Pre-Season Shoot Out.

The girls came out of the gate Friday morning with a hard fought 1-0 victory over the Bluewater Hawks as a result of some stellar goal tending and a superb defensive effort. Game two Friday against BAD Blazers B.B. team didn’t go as planned as the girls dropped a 2-0 decision. Two quick early goals were the downfall but the coaches were proud of the girls for shutting BAD out for the final two periods.Your Inferno Bantam B team got back into the swing of things Saturday with a dominant victory over the host St. Thomas Panthers. A balanced offence, exceptional defence and more impressive goal tending resulted in a big 4-0 victory and a spot in the semis for a rematch with Bluewater. Again, the girls put together a masterful defensive effort, timely scoring and another Hart shutout for a 2-0 win and a spot in the finals. Alas, a championship wasn’t meant to be as the strong B.B. team from Dorchester took home the gold. Coaching staff and parents are super proud of the Silver medals earned by this great group of girls!
