ATOM C HEADED TO PROVINCIALS
Submitted By acook on Monday, April 11, 2016
The Atoms travelled to Provincials this weekend in Mississauga to meet up with the 25 best Atom C teams in the province.

In game 1, the Atoms played against TCDGHA Rebels from the Owen Sound area. The Zorra ladies outplayed their opponents for the first half of the game but were unable to net any goals. Two unlucky shifts saw the Rebels go up by 2 goals. Zorra battled back to tie the game and get back on an even playing field. The two teams battled it out back and forth with Zorra seeming to have the upper hand. The Rebels netted a garbage goal to take the lead and the victory.

In game 2, the Atoms were up against #1 in the province Carleton Place Cyclones. The girls played their hearts out all game, but could not match the fire power of the Cyclones.

In game 3, the Atoms played their familiar foes from St Thomas. As always, the game was a great battle of back and forth action. An early goal by St. Thomas would be the only puck to get by either goaltender.

A fun weekend for the girls who did a wonderful job of representing Zorra with their never give up attitude.
On behalf of the players, they would like to thank their coaches, parents and all the Zorra Fuzion members for the support and well wishes.

They did Zorra proud - good job ladies!!!
